About Aziderm: Aziderm Cream (Azelaic Acid) is prescribed for the treatment of acne. This medicine can also be used to treat other conditions such as inflammations normally caused by rosacea and melasma which describes hyperpigmentation. It is possible to use this medicine for treatment of these conditions because of its skin lightening properties. This medicine works through causing a reduction in the bacteria which is responsible for causing acne (Propionibacterium acnes). It also in the process of eliminating these bacteria reduces inflammation and promote skin renewal, this helps relieve acne and its conditions. Some common conditions that are caused by acne and alleviated using this medicine include blackheads (comedones) and spots which are common to appear on the skin and are caused by the effects of keratinization on the skin.

How to use Aziderm


This cream is for external use only and should not be ingested or used otherwise. Apply the cream only to the affected area and in proportions as directed by your physician. Wash your hands and the affected area properly before application and leave both to dry naturally. Massage the cream to form a thin layer on the affected area and ensure that you do not touch unaffected areas with the cream. Continue with your treatment for as long as the doctor recommends. If necessary, your physician may propose adjustments to your dose depending on how you progress. After application, wash your hands to prevent the spread of the cream. Do not wrap the affected area unless your physician instructs you to. Otherwise, leave it to dry naturally.

Aziderm Dosage


Your doctor will instruct you on the amount of cream to apply. For adults suffering from mild acne conditions, the typical prescription is a daily dosage of 1 application per day. However, it is normal for patients to be prescribed a dosage of 2 times, daily for 2 -4 weeks.
