About Cytomid: Cytomid (Flutamide) is a medicine that is used to treat symptoms of advanced prostate cancer. This medicine is palliative and is used to for patients who were found unresponsive to other medicines, are intolerable to other hormonal medicines or have not received any treatment thereof of their condition. The medicine is used as a combination with luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH), a medication that helps in inducing medical castration. This helps prevent the production of testosterone by the testes which contribute significantly to the alleviation of prostate cancer. Your doctor may prescribe this medicine to help reduce flare reaction, which is a condition caused by the release or large amounts of testosterone normally produced as a response of LHRH in the body. The condition may be painful and in advanced cases, spread to other areas other than the prostrate.

You may choose to take the medicine with or without food that is if your physician has not given you specific instructions on the same. Take a glass of water with every dose.
