Premarin Vaginal Cream (Conjugated Estrogen) is a medicinal cream used by women in reducing the severity of symptoms related to menopause. Some of the symptoms that the cream reduces include vaginal dryness, hot flushes, post-menopausal osteoporosis, vaginal atrophy and hypoestrogenism. The cream can control these symptoms because it contains hormones important in the human body which may be lacking during menopause.
How to use Premarin
Your cream should come with instructions on how to use. However, if you are unsure of how to use the cream, consult your physician. Premarin vaginal cream is not to be self-medicated and should only be used as per the prescriptions by your physician. Unless your physician changes your prescription, you are not supposed to change your dosage yourself. Whether you are experiencing improvements or not, do not increase or lower your dosage. If you have any concerns about your dosage and its effect on your health as well as improvement of your condition, consult your physician.
Premarin Dosage
Premarin cream should be used as indicated by your doctor. After 3 – 6 months, periodical tests will be conducted to confirm the effects of the medicine and importance of the treatment. For typical treatment of moderate vaginal atrophy treatment, daily application of 0.3mg of on a daily basis for 25 days then followed by five days off is prescribed. Premarin Side Effects
Consult your doctor as soon as you notice the occurrence of any side effects when using Premarin vaginal cream. Some side effects that have been reported previously by patients during use of the cream include; vomiting, nausea, weight changes, mood changes, headaches, bloating, vaginal bleeding and back pains. These are normal to experience and should not be a major concern. However, if they persist or become more severe, seek medical attention.
